You're Here Again
A weirdcore, fast-paced movement shooter set in the liminal space between death and whatever follows. Released on Steam, still supported.
What it is
You’re Here Again is a weirdcore, fast-paced movement shooter set in the liminal space between death and whatever follows. It was published by Devious Devs and released into Early Access on Steam on 13 December 2025, where it’s still being updated.
The game is built around momentum: wall-running, sliding, grappling and slamming chain together, speed carries between moves, and damage scales with velocity — the faster you’re moving, the harder you hit.
The shape of it
- 33 levels across the campaign, with 3 bosses and 10+ enemy types
- A level editor with Steam Workshop support, leaderboards and cloud saves
- 7 Steam achievements and a soundtrack DLC
- Shipped in four languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Russian and Te Reo Māori
What I owned
I was one of a five-developer team at Devious Devs, credited on the Steam
store page as yodapowers_. My areas:
- Weapon systems — the guns, how they feel, how they interact with the movement kit
- AI systems — enemy behaviour across the 10+ enemy types
- Audio direction, SFX and music — direction for the game’s sound as well as authoring
- VFX systems — the systems that drive visual feedback
- In-game feedback and bug-reporting pipeline — players can report issues from inside the game, which is a large part of how a small team keeps an Early Access title honest
After launch
Shipping was the halfway point. Since release I’ve worked on post-launch updates, the soundtrack DLC, optimisation passes and the CI/CD pipeline that lets a five-person team ship fixes quickly.
